SorbaSolv™ is NOT just another ME TOO Oil Sorbent! Others use materials that have SOME water repellency. A "whatever seems to work" philosophy. SorbaSolv™ was molecularly designed to be totally and permanently water repellent. Our US patent proves that! SorbaSolv™ is the MOST environmentally sound absorbent, as it is based on RECYCLED CELLULOSE FIBERS, not crude oil based plastics.

SorbaSolv™ is so lipophilic (oil loving) that it will actually break oil/water emulsions and remove oil from soil and rocks by simple contact. Treated soil and other objects can be separated by simple water floatation. In many cases, a pillow or cage of particulate in a drain will remove oil from wash waters sufficient to meet the requirements of the Clean Water Act. OMNI can supply further information on Oil Spill Clean-Up, beach clean-up and remediation upon request.

SorbaSolv™ will act as a filter media substantive to oils, resins and most water insoluble organics allowing complete removal. in some cases recycling through the filter for total removal may be required. Flocculated resin emulsions, cutting oils and a host of other organic/oil mixtures can be clarified to meet discharge requirements. A simple swimming pool filter or drum pump set-up is all that is needed. Organic contents of over 5,000 ppm can be reduced to less than 5 quickly and easily. AND the used media can be incinerated with little or no ash.

OMNI supplies a solidifying flocculentOMNI-FIX™ that will precipitate most acrylic, PVA and other resin emulsion and lattices. The supernatant liquid may be passed through a SorbaSolv™ filter for final clarification prior to discharge.

Allow enough head space in filter for the amount of liquid to be treated. Do NOT treat aggressive acids or caustics without previous neutralization to avoid degradation of media. The use of a coarse screen to remove solids prior to filtering is advised. SorbaSolv™ particulate is very light (10 obs./ft.³) the use of a weighted screen or plate to avoid floating is essential. Final clarification can be detected by the use of Oil Indicating Papers or a turbidity meter. Exhausted media will allow all to pass.
